Today, our Big Omaha Fitness community came together to honor the memory of Candace Paige Spurlin, a cherished member of CrossFit Omaha who tragically passed away on January 19th. We paid tribute to her by doing a special workout in her honor.
Candace was a part of our community for over seven years, and her infectious smile and vibrant personality will be deeply missed. She was a strong, beautiful, kind, and fun-loving woman who touched the lives of many. She consistently gave her all, embracing every workout challenge presented and finding joy in the effort. Her love for the barbell, especially power cleans, was truly inspiring. Candace was 33 years, 3 months, and 4 days old, and today’s workout reflected that: thirty-three reps of three movements, repeated four times.
Thank you to everyone who came today to support one another and remember Candace. We are grateful for the strength and compassion of our community.
