Bragging rights to whomever can pick out Andy in the crowd, here… Bwahahaha!

First Name & Last Initial:

Andy B

West Point, NE

When did you first start CrossFitting:

August 2015

When did you first start training at IHCF:

August 2015

Favorite WOD:

I enjoy rowing and lifting workouts

Least Favorite WOD:

Anything that has a running or burpee component involved.  I tend to avoid those workouts

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit.  Take us back to your first WOD… what was it and how did it feel:

My sister asked me if I wanted to do a bootcamp on Sunday.  We did a combination of squats, sit-ups and running in the park on a warm day.  At first I was hesitant on doing it but once I started I enjoyed it.  I felt fine until about 4 hours later when the soreness set in and I was unable to walk normally for 3 days.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting CrossFit (before/after):

I have gained strength and endurance since starting CrossFit.  When I first started, it was a struggle to complete the baseline.  Now I am able to lift more, have more energy and have acquired more skills such as wall walks and rope climbs.

Please share with us any favorite CrossFit/IHCF moments:

The 5:30am conversations and debates are entertaining.  You never know what will come out.  I also enjoyed watching Chris have to do burpees when he was 5 minutes late one morning.

Any advice for people just getting started:

Just go and give it your all when you are there.  You won’t gain anything by trying to cut corners.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Andy!  You’re a great addition to the family and we’re excited to see how far you’ll go!
