Ok, so we aren’t doing 400m of walking lunges. For those of you in bootcamp that day. How’d your legs feel after that?
Struggle to get into a good position for squats?
Maybe it’s the ankles. Guess what: lunges MAY be a better exercise for you for developing lower body strength that does not require the same amount of mobility that doing a squat does.
Things to keep in mind:
Both feet SLIGHTLY pigeon toed (think knees over pinky toes in the squat)
Body is braced and upright
Movement is down and up (if you feel like you’re moving forward in the lunge, it may be because you are)
Step together and all the way up after each rep
Voila! Lunge city, it is!
