In the meantime, focus on grip strength:
Do some heavy carries (dumbbells, kettlebells, use an actual suitcase carry implement), hang from the bar in a braced position for an extended period of time, or deadlift or a whole lot with heavy weight and correct mechanics.
…any of those are good for developing grip strength which is key in most things (not just carrying all the groceries in the house all in one trip because, I’m a man… and I may or may not be silly like that)
