What is the Hardest Part of Getting Fit?

What is the Single Hardest Part of Getting Fit?

This may or may not be a surprise to you:  the single hardest part of getting fit is NOT the working out part.

What?!

In my opinion, THE hardest part of getting fit is getting in the car and driving to the gym.  Once you’ve gotten to the gym, the rest of it gets a little easier.  You’ve already started the process!

There are a number of different ways to make sure you can set yourself up to get to the gym as automatically as possible:

  • Setting your alarm clock across the room so you need to physically get out of bed.  At this point, the momentum has started
  • Have your clothes and shoes in your car already.  This is true regardless of when you workout
  • Making the decision to go before it’s time to go.  It’s easier to make this call before you need to actually make this call
  • Or simply force yourself to get in the car and start driving because, again, the momentum has started at that point

Bottom line is to get the ball rolling.  Once you’ve got it rolling, you will do some amazing things!

Don’t stop.  Don’t think.  Just go.
