Good Today. Perfect Tomorrow.

Good Today.  Perfect Tomorrow

Raise your hand if you’re a perfectionist.

Yes, you.  I can see you back there waiting for other people to raise their hands.

My hands up too, by the way.

Well, call it a recovering perfectionist.  I still have perfectionistic tendencies but I am working on reforming.

I cannot tell you how many times in my life I planned something, I adjusted, I thought through scenarios, I readjusted, I did some construction, and after all that?  I didn’t really do much of anything.

Or… by the time I did do something I was way behind the curve.

For me, this has less to do with athletic endeavors and more so with goal setting, doing homework in high school and college, housework or repairs (ask my wife).  Something tells me, though, this hits home for you and making a change for the better in your life.

Here’s a newsflash you probably already know but want to ignore:  There.  Is.  No.  Perfect.  Time.

No amount of planning will account for all scenarios; no amount of waiting things out will get you any further; and as they say, “no plan survives first contact with the enemy.”
